Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Geoffrey Parrish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lewis Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lewis Jackson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Geoffrey Parrish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lewis Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jackson showed some decent athleticism there.
Parrish pushes Jackson off looking to stand but Jackson dives back in and keeps control.
Jackson trying to control the action but Parrish is working from the bottom.
Parrish is looking to escape.
Parrish is staying active underneath Jackson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Parrish is trying to stand up here but Jackson is controlling him well.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Parrish tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Parrish really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jackson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Parrish tries to keep at a distance but Jackson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Parrish is trying to push Jackson away but Jackson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Parrish keeps control of Jackson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Jackson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Parrish has closed the distance and engaged Jackson in a clinch.
Parrish blocks an elbow strike.
Jackson is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Parrish lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Parrish presses Jackson against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Jackson jumps guard and drags Parrish to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Parrish gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Parrish tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Parrish throws a low kick but it's checked well by Jackson.
Jackson wants to counter the offense by Parrish and move into the clinch position.

Jackson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Parrish to the mat! Parrish manages to get full guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Parrish is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Jackson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Parrish is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jackson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Parrish. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Parrish wants to get back to his feet.
Parrish is not content to let Jackson control the position.

Parrish has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Jackson is on him like a limpet, forcing Parrish back against the cage.

That was a close second round but I would say that Geoffrey Parrish will probably get the nod.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well Parrish has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
