Corbett comes into the arena with Men at Work - Down Under blaring out of the sound system. Mitchell has chosen Voices- Rev Theory as his entrance music. Nathan Corbett could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to James Mitchell's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 1, fighting out of London, Nathan Corbett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Mitchell!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, David Schapiro and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corbett throws a front kick aimed at Mitchell's knee but Mitchell avoids it well.
Some wild striking there from Mitchell.
Mitchell checks a low kick from Corbett.
Mitchell throws a right and a left that both miss.
James Mitchell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mitchell closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Corbett quickly recovers to half guard.
Mitchell prevents Corbett from improving his position.

Mitchell looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Mitchell seems to be working for a kimura but Corbett defends the submission attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mitchell is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Corbett defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Corbett is defending against the submission attempts here by Mitchell.
Corbett is trying to maintain the position but Mitchell is very close to passing his half guard.

Mitchell looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Corbett wants to control but Mitchell is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Corbett manages to get to full guard.
Corbett bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mitchell's guard.

Mitchell wants to sweep here but Corbett controlling him for the moment.
Corbett forces his way into half guard.
Mitchell tries to get to full guard but Corbett has control of the leg.

Corbett is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Mitchell is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Corbett pulls his head out easily.
Corbett prevents Mitchell from improving his position.
Mitchell gets back to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Corbett won't allow Mitchell to sweep him here.

Mitchell is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Corbett rolls with it to try and escape but Mitchell cranks on the arm and Corbett is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
