The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slapaho scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Slapaho thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Slapaho working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Michels is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Michels manages to work his way to half guard, despite Slapaho's best efforts.
Michels manages to get to full guard.
Michels trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Slapaho wants to pass the guard but Michels is keeping the position.

Michels escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Slapaho gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Slapaho really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Michels. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Michels really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Slapaho has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Michels to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Slapaho is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Michels pulls down on the head and he's put Slapaho to sleep! This one is all over!
