The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Enkeltmann dives in for a single leg takedown but Head sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.
Head lands a leg kick that knocks Enkeltmann off balance momentarily.
Enkeltmann doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Enkeltmann takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Enkeltmann shoots in for a takedown but Head shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Einar Enkeltmann. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Head misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Head scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Enkeltmann shoots in but Head avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Head throws a good cross that connects.

Garrick Head seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Head clobbers Enkeltmann with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

and Head counters with a stiff right hand.

Head has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.
Head circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Enkeltmann tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Head wins by KO!

In his post fight interview, Garrick Head started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
