Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dalton Williamson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Cera!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Eddie Farnsworth and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williamson defending well as Cera loads up on a big left hand.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Williamson looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Cera wants to sweep here but Williamson controlling him for the moment.

Cera had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Williamson defends it easily.
Cera looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cera working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Williamson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Williamson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Cera throws his legs up looking for a submission but Williamson uses it to pass to side control.
Cera is trying to improve his position.
Cera is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Williamson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cera works his way to full guard. Good work.

Cera has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Williamson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cera is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Williamson is aware though and is defending well.

Cera working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Williamson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Williamson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Cera is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Williamson defends well.
Cera is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Cera looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cera moves into full mount! Williamson won't be happy about that!

Cera is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Williamson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Cera working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Michael Cera dominated that round.
That's time! Williamson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Williamson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cera manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Williamson wants to clinch up but Cera keeps it at a distance.
Williamson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Cera sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Cera looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Williamson is fending him off so far but Cera persists. Nope, Williamson circles away and we're back to standing.

Williamson gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Cera has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Williamson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fight stays on the outside here - Williamson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cera closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Cera has an Americana. Williamson didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Cera is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Cera hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Michael Cera!
Michael Cera bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
