Barnhardt comes to the cage accompanied by The Action - Brain. Costello has chosen LOOKING FOR TRUBLE as his entrance music. Philip Costello will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Costello gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Barnhardt to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Costello looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Costello keeping full guard, as Barnhardt tries to pass.

Barnhardt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Barnhardt is pushing down on Costello's leg trying to pass to half guard. Costello is fighting to maintain full guard but Barnhardt has managed to sneak the leg through.

Barnhardt is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Costello is just riding it out for now. Barnhardt eventually gives up the hold.

Barnhardt is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Barnhardt is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Costello is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ronnie Barnhardt was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
Philip Costello was interviewed post fight and said 'Am sorry..was great fight,and from this..I learn'.
