The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roumani throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mouba sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Roumani takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Roumani slips under a jab.
Roumani shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mouba napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Mouba prevents Roumani from improving position.
Roumani wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mouba keeps working.
Roumani is trying to get an arm triangle but Mouba is defending well.
Roumani is looking to take a break and control but Mouba is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mouba regains half guard there - taking advantage of Roumani's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Mouba is refusing to be controlled, as Roumani sits in half guard.
Mouba on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mouba tries to get out of the position.
Roumani tries to pass to full mount but Mouba defends it.
Mouba is defending against the submission attempts here by Roumani.
Roumani is keen to just control but Mouba is a slippery customer.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Mouba tries to get to full guard but Roumani has control of the leg.

Roumani looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mouba wants to control but Roumani is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Mouba wants to get back to his feet.
Mouba makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mouba.
Roumani stands and throws Mouba's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Mouba prevents Roumani from moving into mount.
Roumani thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Roumani tries to advance to mount but can't.
Roumani is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mouba is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Mouba's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mouba tries to buck Roumani off but Roumani is having none of it.

Mouba is looking to regain half guard here but Roumani keeps moving and retains side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Roumani has hold of Mouba's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Mouba tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Roumani cranks the arm and Mouba screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Mouba, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Ali Roumani!

Ali Roumani seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
In defeat, Mamad Mouba stepped up to the mic, saying 'I want a rematch'.
