Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jaime Freitas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Richter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jaime Freitas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Charles Richter! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Freitas closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Freitas lands in his opponent's guard. Freitas loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Richter working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Freitas. Freitas postures up in Richter's guard and throws a big left but Richter blocks it. Freitas throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Richter has control of Freitas's left arm, preventing Freitas from doing any damage. Freitas stopping the sweep attempt from Richter. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Freitas postures up in Richter's guard and throws a big left but Richter blocks it. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Freitas stops Richter from standing up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Freitas fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Freitas is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Richter looks to land a combination but Freitas avoids it well. No luck with that takedown attempt from Freitas. Excellent takedown into side control there by Freitas. Freitas working away. Richter is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Freitas has just dragged him back down to the mat. Freitas postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Richter tries to improve position but can't. Richter is still trying to improve position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Freitas throws an elbow but Richter slips to the side and avoids it well. Freitas stands up. Richter misses with a body kick. Charles Richter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Richter throws a series of punches but Freitas moves out of range. Richter lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Freitas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Richter tries to avoid it but Freitas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Richter to the ground. Richter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. We've been told by Freitas's head coaches at Main Event Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jaime Freitas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Richter scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Richter scores with a jab. Freitas slips a jab and a cross from Richter.
Richter connects with the punch. Richter moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Richter comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Richter cracks Freitas with a good jab. Freitas stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Richter. Danga de danga de dang - Richter scores with a four punch combination!
Freitas is rocked! Richter connects with a solid leg kick. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Freitas is defended easily by Richter. Richter lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Freitas at a distance.
Freitas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Richter connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Oh Freitas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Richter tests Freitas's chin there with a solid looking shot. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Richter throws a leg kick that misses. Freitas closes the distance and clinches up with Richter, looking for a takedown. Freitas pushes Richter against the cage but Richter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A cross from Richter lands. Freitas dodges the punch combination from Richter.
Good leg kick by Richter there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Richter lands a slapping body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charles Richter dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Richter throws a series of punches but Freitas moves out of range. Freitas seems to have got his legs back now. Freitas doesn't succeed with the takedown and Richter connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Freitas walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Freitas has his takedown stuffed and Richter counters with a thumping low kick. Richter scoring well with a low kick there.
Richter lands with an uppercut that bounces Freitas off the cage and back into range. OH! Freitas has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Richter smells blood and charges in for the finish! Richter unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Freitas sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Charles Richter! Our winner, Charles Richter, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
