Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Peter Aerts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramon Dekkers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Peter Aerts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ramon Dekkers! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.

Dekkers throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Aerts stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Aerts tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Dekkers counters with a lovely straight right hand! Aerts avoids the head kick by Dekkers.
Dekkers just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromAerts. Aerts moves in looking to clinch but Dekkers pushes him off. Dekkers lands a body shot.
Dekkers avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dekkers connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Dekkers scores with a crisp jab that stopped Aerts in his tracks. Aerts walks into a stiff left hand from Dekkers.

and Dekkers counters with a three punch combo that has Aerts backing up. Aerts nods at Dekkers to acknowledge the strikes. Dekkers takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Aerts tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Dekkers manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. The fight stays on the outside here - Aerts looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Dekkers misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dekkers throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Dekkers tries to work over Aerts's front leg with a kick but Aerts checks it. Aerts lands a nice leg kick that just misses Dekkers's sensitive parts. Aerts tries to clinch but Dekkers moves out of range. Dekkers finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Dekkers should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Aerts is trying to force a seperation but Dekkers has the dominant position. Dekkers lands an elbow inside that Aerts shrugs off. Aerts is trying to maintain a safe position but Dekkers gets an underhook and turns Aerts into the ropes. Aerts wants to break the clinch but can't.
Aerts is trying to push Dekkers away but Dekkers has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Dekkers has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Aerts using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Dekkers has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dekkers has had enough of the clinch but Aerts keeps him there for the moment. Aerts wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Aerts tries to break the clinch but Dekkers is controlling the position. Aerts misses with a punch to the body.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dekkers tries to break the clinch but Aerts is controlling the position. Dekkers has had enough of the clinch but Aerts keeps him there for the moment. Ramon Dekkers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Aerts's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Peter Aerts. Well Dekkers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
