Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jay Reid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Shane Wilkins!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reid shoots in for a double leg but Wilkins sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Reid shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wilkins as he jumps to the side.
Wilkins moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Wilkins throws a left and a right that both miss
and Reid counters with a solid body kick.
Wilkins feints and as Reid raises his hands in defense, Wilkins changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Reid wants to stand and escape but Wilkins is having none of it.
Wilkins makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
It looks like Jay Reid has been cut.
Reid keeping moving, preventing Wilkins from controlling successfully.
Wilkins stands up and waves to Reid to follow him.
Wilkins throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Reid counters with a head kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wilkins scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Reid throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Nice combo by Wilkins! Oh, that's hurt him - Reid falls to the canvas and Wilkins follows him into side control.
Reid is rocked!
Jay Reid's cut is getting worse.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wilkins working the body and head with strikes.
Oh Reid is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Reid is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Wilkins crunches a massive hammerfist down on Reid - he's out! Wilkins Holds back on further strikes and jumps to his feet to celebrate with the crowd!
