Ishikawa comes into a darkened arena with his song building. mindshift genki sudo kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ishikawa lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

It looks like William Gate has been cut.
Gate drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
We've been hearing reports that Gate has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Ishikawa has hold of one of Gate's legs. Gate is fighting the takedown attempt but Ishikawa gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Ishikawa avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Ishikawa is working Gate over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Ishikawa lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Ishikawa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gate swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ishikawa is sitting in close to Gate's body. Gate has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Ishikawa is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Ishikawa is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Gate.
