Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rich Downs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raymond Pilon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rich Downs is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pilon dives in and grabs Downs's left leg, looking for a takedown. Downs pushes down on Pilon's head and hops out.
Pilon fails with a takedown attempt.
As Pilon looks to move away, Downs throws a big counter combo bu Pilon just gets out of the way.
Downs scores with a hook to the body. Pilon takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Pilon should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pilon is defended easily by Downs.
Downs appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Downs is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pilon pulls his head out easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Rich Downs will probably get the nod.

Downs tries to stall but Pilon uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Downs is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Downs can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.
Pilon is trying to drag Downs to the mat but Downs just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Pilon is working for takedown but Downs is calmly controlling the position for now.

Downs will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Downs looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pilon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Pilon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Downs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
