Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heffo Klumpo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Klumpo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Enter Sandman . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
33 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Heffo Klumpo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clay Thomas! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Klumpo lands with a nice body punch. Thomas fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Klumpo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Thomas has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Klumpo is landing a low percentage of strikes. Klumpo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Thomas was well out of range. Poor timing from Klumpo. Thomas lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Klumpo backs up against the cage.
It looks like Heffo Klumpo has been cut. Klumpo misses with a double jab.
Thomas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Thomas keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Thomas fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Thomas lands a jab to the head.
Klumpo takes one on the chin but seems OK.
This has been an exciting period of action! Thomas connects with a high kick. Klumpo slips a jab and a cross from Thomas.

Klumpo cracks Thomas with a right hand to the side of the head. Klumpo throws a wild body kick that Thomas sees coming a mile off. Thomas misses with a jab, cross combination.
Klumpo missing with a left hand there. Thomas was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Thomas looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Klumpo is looking to land body kicks. Klumpo misses with a straight right.
That's one minute gone in the round. A decent looking body kick lands there for Thomas. Thomas throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Thomas fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Klumpo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Thomas circles away quickly and effectively. Klumpo throws a jab when Thomas was well out of range. Klumpo blocks a head kick by Thomas.
Klumpo uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Thomas moves out of range as Klumpo strikes. Thomas's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Thomas duly obliges. Klumpo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Thomas sees it coming and avoids it easily. Klumpo drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Thomas throws a head kick that half lands.

and Klumpo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Klumpo has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Thomas tries to work over Klumpo's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Klumpo looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Thomas struggles to land a body shot inside as Klumpo controls his hands.
Klumpo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Klumpo throws out the jab. Klumpo throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Heffo Klumpo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Klumpo takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Oooh a lovely combination from Klumpo sends Thomas down but not out. Klumpo dives into side control looking to finish.
Thomas is rocked!
It looks like Clay Thomas has been cut. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Klumpo landing strikes. Thomas is still in real trouble! Can Klumpo finish him? Thomas prevents Klumpo from moving into mount. Thomas avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Klumpo. Klumpo misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Thomas seems to have recovered his senses. Thomas tries to get back to half guard but can't. Thomas is trying to control Klumpo's posture but Klumpo avoids it. Klumpo working the ground and pound but Thomas is defending the strikes. Klumpo cracks Thomas with a big elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Klumpo throws an elbow but Thomas slips to the side and avoids it well. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Thomas can do anything to dispel that myth. Klumpo sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Thomas is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Klumpo working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Klumpo is trying to ground and pound but Thomas uses the momentary lack of control by Klumpo to regain half guard. Thomas avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Klumpo. Thomas is looking for a sweep. Klumpo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Thomas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Klumpo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Klumpo is nestled in close to Thomas, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Klumpo is thwarting Thomas's attempts to control the position. Klumpo missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Klumpo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Thomas's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Thomas keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Thomas is trying to stand.
Klumpo looks to land a strike but Thomas avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Klumpo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Thomas preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Thomas working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Klumpo. Klumpo throws a big right hand that misses. Klumpo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Thomas works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Thomas has momentary wrist control but Klumpo slips an elbow through the middle. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Klumpo throws a big right hand that misses. Thomas looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Klumpo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Heffo Klumpo will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Clay Thomas seems to be getting the better of the standup. Klumpo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
An inside leg kick lands from Thomas. Klumpo misses the shot to the body. A jab lands there for Klumpo. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Klumpo lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Klumpo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Thomas sees it coming and avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Thomas lands with a kick to the ribs.

Thomas throws a combination that misses and Klumpo counters with a one-two to the body. Klumpo moves out of range of the body kick. Thomas throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Thomas connects with a leg kick. Klumpo looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Heffo Klumpo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Klumpo fails to land with a series of punches.
Thomas throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Klumpo's head. Thomas dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Klumpo misses with a straight right. Klumpo throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Thomas now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Thomas getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Both fighters circling a little - Thomas finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Klumpo takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Thomas scores with a crisp jab that stopped Klumpo in his tracks. Thomas scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Klumpo doesn't seem bothered though. Thomas connects with a body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Klumpo throws an off balance right hand
and Thomas counters with a right hand to the body. Klumpo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Thomas rushes Klumpo with punches - Klumpo moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Klumpo goes down! Thomas follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
