The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malapitan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McGill.
McGill closes the distance but Malapitan moves to the side
and Malapitan counters with a nice double leg into guard.
McGill looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Malapitan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've been hearing that Malapitan has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
