Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ceiba Wrestling Coach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Enrico Mazzarri!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wrestling Coach takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Mazzarri moves out of range of the strikes.
Mazzarri changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Wrestling Coach tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Mazzarri makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Mazzarri misses with a hook. Wrestling Coach ducked under it nicely.
Mazzarri keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mazzarri lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Wrestling Coach gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
No joy there for Wrestling Coach, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wrestling Coach's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mazzarri connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Wrestling Coach scrambles back to his feet.
Mazzarri throws a leg kick that misses.
Mazzarri bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Wrestling Coach stuns Mazzarri with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Mazzarri shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wrestling Coach manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Wrestling Coach thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wrestling Coach is on top in guard.

Wrestling Coach got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mazzarri has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wrestling Coach has managed to get both his arms back between Mazzarri's legs - danger averted.

Wrestling Coach stands up over Mazzarri, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Wrestling Coach looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mazzarri with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That was a close round but I would say that Ceiba Wrestling Coach will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Wrestling Coach shoots for a takedown but Mazzarri saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Mazzarri gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Mazzarri is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wrestling Coach loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wrestling Coach accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Mazzarri is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wrestling Coach, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
