Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Raven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Penn has chosen Everything in its right place as his entrance music. James Penn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thomas Raven! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, James Penn! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raven swinging wildly here.
Penn misses with an uppercut
and Raven counters with a nice leg kick. Penn takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Raven seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Raven ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Raven moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Raven blocks a jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Penn tries to close the distance and clinch but Raven swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Raven tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Penn was well out of range. Poor timing from Raven. Raven connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's one minute gone in the round. Raven wants to slow Penn down by chopping away at his legs. Penn throws out a counter right but Raven avoids it with no problem. Raven listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Raven takes a kick to the side of the head. Raven misses with a left hand and Raven takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Penn uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Raven. Penn swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. A decent looking cross lands there for Raven. Raven throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Penn throws a lazy right hand but Raven sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Raven throws a front kick that sends Penn stumbling back into the cage. Raven cracks Penn with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Raven looks to score with a jab to the body but Penn is just out of range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Raven scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Jab by Raven. Penn dodges the punch combination from Raven.
Penn moves out of range as Raven strikes. Penn ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Penn fails with a takedown attempt. Raven turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Raven lands a nice shot to the body.
Penn connects with the punch. Raven fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Penn checks it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Raven cracks Penn with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Raven lands a jab to the head.
Penn tries to clinch but fails miserably and Raven counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Raven scoring well with a low kick there.
Penn takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Penn checks the leg kick nicely there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Raven jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Penn moves out of range of the strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Raven dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Penn plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Thomas Raven has been cut. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Penn!
Raven cracks Penn with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Penn drops Raven with a left right combo! Penn follows him down to the ground into side control.
Raven is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Raven sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Penn trying to mount his opponent but Raven defends it. Raven tries to roll over but Penn keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Penn throwing shots but Raven is blocking nicely. Penn in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Raven tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Penn!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). James Penn! After winning the bout, James Penn thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
