Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jamal Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Grover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Grover!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grover drives through and clinches with Smith against the cage.
Smith stops a takedown attempt from Grover.
Smith fails to pull guard.
Smith blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Grover misses with a hook from the clinch.
Smith tries to pull guard but Grover holds him up against the cage and eventually Smith drops back down to his feet.
Smith blocks an uppercut.
Smith is trying to drag Grover to the mat but Grover just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jamal Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Grover keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Smith's efforts to push away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith manages to break the clinch.
Grover shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smith but Smith pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Smith misses with the combination.
Grover is looking for the big counter here.
Smith fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Grover sprawls well initially but Smith persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Smith is trying to work for a kimura but Grover is defending well.

Grover manages to get to full guard.
Grover is trying to control the position but Smith postures up.

Grover is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Grover wants to lay and pray for a moment but Smith keeps working.
Grover takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Smith on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Smith tries to get out of the position.
Grover is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Smith keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Smith is looking to improve his position.
Grover is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Grover tries to stand and escape but Smith is controlling the position.
Smith is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Grover's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Grover's back!

Grover rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Smith throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Smith wants to stand up but Grover has a hold of him and won't allow it.

That was a close round but I would say that Jamal Smith will probably get the nod.
That's time! Smith's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Smith looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Grover gets a takedown into half guard.
Grover is trying to control. Smith wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Grover throwing shots but Smith is blocking nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Grover thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Smith's head.
Grover frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Smith wants to hold on but Grover pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Grover is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Smith is tapping out! This one is all over!
