Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Djalu Roberts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Storm! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roberts lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Roberts is looking to clinch. Storm is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Roberts with a body shot. Storm with a jab. Storm throws a lazy right hand but Roberts sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Roberts seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Roberts scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Roberts ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Storm moves away. Roberts closes the distance and pushes Storm back into the cage. Roberts misses with some punches.
Roberts swings wildly with an uppercut but Storm uses good head movement to avoid it. A nice right hand lands inside from Roberts.
It looks like Fred Storm has been cut. A battle for position here, against the cage. A right hand to the body from Roberts.
A short right from Roberts on the inside. Storm misses with a punch on the inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Roberts. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Storm swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A frustrated look appears on Storm's face as he tries to break the clinch. Roberts scores with a hook to the body. Roberts lands a hook that snaps the head of Storm backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round. Storm doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Roberts definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Roberts fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Roberts softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Roberts blocks an uppercut.
Storm tries to break the clinch but Roberts is controlling the position. Roberts keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Storm's efforts to push away. A body shot lands from Roberts.
Storm looks winded! Roberts throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Roberts drops Storm onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Storm is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Storm is rocked! Roberts lands a big right hand! Storm is out cold! This one is all over!
