Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arturo Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Bronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Arturo Shields has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Arturo Shields! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Johnny Bronson! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some bone on bone action there as Shields checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Shields appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bronson. Shields was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Bronson tries a head kick but it misses.
Shields leaves Bronson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Shields feinted there with a counter leg kick. Bronson sizes up Shields with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
It looks like Arturo Shields has been cut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shields rushes Bronson and presses him up against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Bronson tries to break free but Shields pushes him back against the cage. Both fighters working to control the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bronson is trying to drag Shields to the mat but Shields just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Shields avoiding damage as Bronson throws knees to the body.
Bronson is trying to force a seperation but Shields has the dominant position. Bronson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Shields to keep the fight standing. Arturo Shields has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Bronson. Bronson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Bronson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Shields landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Shields is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Bronson tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Shields avoids it. That's three minutes gone in the round. Shields taking a breather. Shields stops a takedown attempt from Bronson.
Bronson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Shields to keep the fight standing. Shields gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bronson.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bronson trying to control the position but instead, Shields has worked for underhooks and has pushed Bronson into the cage. Bronson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Shields obliges. Knees to the body from Shields.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bronson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Shields goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bronson is breathing heavily. Bronson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Shields could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Shields successfully pulls guard.

Bronson wants to pass the guard but Shields is keeping the position. Shields knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bronson on the ground. Bronson stands up from Shields's guard - Bronson perhaps looking for a knockout. Shields moves into the clinch successfully.
Shields manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Bronson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Shields, up you get!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bronson misses with a right hand and Shields counters with a series of strikes. Bronson will be more careful next time no doubt. Bronson moves into the clinch. Bronson pulls guard effortlessly. Shields wants to control from the top but Bronson keeps moving. Bronson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bronson has his foot on Shields's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shields works his way back into a safe position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bronson keeping moving, preventing Shields from controlling successfully. Shields looking to sit in guard and control but Bronson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Shields is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Bronson's corner is telling him to maintain position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Arturo Shields will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Arturo Shields's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Bronson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Bronson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bronson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Bronson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bronson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Shields rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bronson's guard! Nice work there by Shields! Shields looking to sit in guard and control but Bronson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bronson trying to control but Shields is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bronson wants to pass the guard but Shields is keeping the position. Shields can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bronson controls the pace. Bronson slips nicely into half guard. Bronson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Shields's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bronson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Shields is looking to control Bronson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Shields avoid being mounted? Bronson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bronson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Shields's head. Johnny Bronson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Arturo Shields is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bronson is trying for a kimura here. Shields looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Bronson wins by kimura!
