Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Simon Petrikov!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Battistoni misses with a hook
and Petrikov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A big right from Battistoni misses.
Battistoni swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Battistoni takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Battistoni blocks a head kick by Petrikov.
Petrikov looks to throw a body kick
and Battistoni counters with a nice body shot.
Battistoni wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Carson Battistoni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Petrikov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Battistoni.

Battistoni jabs Petrikov to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Battistoni displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Petrikov throws out the jab.

Petrikov takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Petrikov counters with an outside leg kick.

Battistoni connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Petrikov's hands.
Battistoni is looking to wear down Petrikov with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Battistoni fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Petrikov manages to avoid it.
Battistoni throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Petrikov takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Battistoni throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Petrikov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Battistoni throws an overhand right that lands on Petrikov's shoulder, as Petrikov tries to avoid the shot.
A nice side step and Petrikov releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Battistoni fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Petrikov manages to avoid it.
A countering left hand to the body from Petrikov misses.
Battistoni chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Battistoni lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Petrikov throws a head kick but Battistoni moves out of range.

Petrikov flicks out a counter leg kick but Battistoni steps away.
Petrikov is still on wobbly legs! Can Battistoni finish him?
Battistoni walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Petrikov drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Battistoni swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Petrikov's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carson Battistoni!
Carson Battistoni decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
