Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alva Perkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grunfeld Bach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grunfeld Bach has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alva Perkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Grunfeld Bach! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bach clinches with his opponent.
Bach is pressed up against the cage. Perkins has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bach down to the mat. Bach avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Bach throws a head kick that misses. Bach fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Perkins, pushing him back against the cage. Bach can't break the clinch.
Perkins has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Bach clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Bach is trying to stand back up. Perkins throwing wild punches that miss their target. Perkins goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Bach escapes and is now in half guard on top. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Perkins wants to improve his position but Bach is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bach is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Perkins works his way to full guard. Good work. Perkins could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Bach lands a couple of digs. Bach won't allow Perkins to sweep him here. Bach doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bach manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bach lands a couple of elbows. Bach working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Bach throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Perkins tries to roll over but Bach keeps him under control. Bach working over Perkins with some ground and pound. Perkins looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Perkins is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bach pulls his head out easily. Perkins is breathing heavily. Bach looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Perkins with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Bach trying to control from half guard but Perkins is working away. Bach is taking a breather. Perkins says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bach is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Perkins defends it well. Perkins is looking for a sweep. Bach is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Perkins wants to control but Bach is keeping busy and won't allow it. Bach is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Perkins doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bach. Perkins is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bach scores with a couple of nice shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Grunfeld Bach dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Bach swings for the body but Perkins moves out of range.
Perkins throws a right hand that Bach ducks under and follows up with a left that Bach also avoids with ease. Perkins darts in and clinches Bach up against the cage. Bach trying to control but not successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Perkins punches the canvas rather than the man. Perkins is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Bach up.
Bach avoids the strikes from Perkins. Alva Perkins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Perkins avoiding Bach 's attempts to control his hands.

Bach just trying to survive but Perkins is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Bach is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Perkins has Bach flattened out and is raining down punches. Perkins is not going to allow Bach to sit and survive in this position. Perkins keeps control of the position as Bach tries to break free.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bach is trying to get back to his feet but Perkins has full control of the position and if anything, Bach has just worked his way into a worse spot. Bach is in a bad position with Perkins working for a choke. Bach manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment. Bach chips away with some ground and pound. Bach trying to control but Perkins is working from the bottom. Perkins manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bach manages to get himself to full guard.
Perkins is looking to stand up but Bach won't let him. Perkins got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bach has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Perkins has managed to get both his arms back between Bach's legs - danger averted. Bach is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perkins wanted to stand there but Bach had control of the position. Bach working for a triangle but Perkins defends it easily.
Perkins working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Perkins postures up and lands a big shot to Bach's brow. Bach looking for a sweep. Not yet Bach, not yet. Bach is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Perkins defends well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Nice sprawl there from Perkins as Bach shoots in. A low kick from Bach misses and Perkins counters with a three punch combo that has Bach backing up. Bach nods at Perkins to acknowledge the strikes. Perkins has closed the distance and engaged Bach in a clinch.
Perkins breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Grunfeld Bach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bach fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Perkins throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Bach has a takedown stuffed. Alva Perkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grunfeld Bach. Perkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bach tries to avoid it but Perkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bach to the ground. Bach escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bach looks to land a combination but Perkins avoids it well. Perkins is looking to counter punch. Bach fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Perkins, pushing him back against the cage. Perkins breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. That's one minute gone in the round. Bach looking for a takedown. Perkins trying to control the position but instead, Bach has worked for underhooks and has pushed Perkins into the cage. Perkins has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bach avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Perkins turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Perkins manages to end up in side control. Perkins working the ground and pound. Perkins works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Bach tries to buck Perkins off but Perkins is having none of it. Perkins working the body and head with strikes. You can see the frustration on Bach's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bach bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Bach does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Perkins attempts a counter takedown but Bach avoids it well and moves away. Perkins throws a right and a left that both miss. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Perkins throws a head kick but Bach moves out of range.
Bach is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bach misses with a low kick. Perkins misses with an uppercut. Bach throws out a counter right but Perkins avoids it with no problem. Bach has taken the fight to the clinch.
Come on Perkins - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Perkins has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Bach has passed into side control.
Bach lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Perkins down.

Perkins is rocked! Perkins is wriggling around trying to escape.
Oh Perkins is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! BOOM! Bach connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A big strike lands for Bach! That's really hurt Perkins and he's turned his back - Bach keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Bach jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
