Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace tries to clinch up.
Deschain tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wallace swivels and escapes.
Wallace tries to close the distance and clinch but Deschain swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wallace wants to clinch.
Wallace looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Deschain connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
It looks like Barrett Wallace has been cut.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Deschain stands up and waves to Wallace to follow him.
Wallace tries to clinch but Deschain moves away
and Deschain counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Deschain.
Wallace is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Deschain is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Deschain slips nicely into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Deschain thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wallace's head.

Deschain has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Wallace avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Deschain wants to get up but he can't break Wallace's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Horrible takedown by Deschain or perhaps it was just good defense by Wallace which made him look bad.
