1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jean claude Sherk! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sherk fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A punch combination from Fifer misses. Fifer stalks Sherk and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sherk's face. Sherk staggers backwards, shaken. Fifer misses with a few strikes there.
A combination from Fifer does no damage. Sherk closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fifer circles away. Fifer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Sherk wants to control from the top but Fifer keeps moving. Sherk prevents Fifer from getting back to his feet. Fifer being controlled here, momentarily. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Some wild striking there from Fifer.

Fifer is working the combinations to good effect here. Sherk drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sherk stands up and we're back to a striking position. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sherk. Fifer swats away the attempt to clinch by Sherk. Sherk drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Sherk sitting in guard here, content to control. Sherk won't allow Fifer to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fifer pushes Sherk off and gets back to his feet.
