Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Howell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andy Seek!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howell feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Seek looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Howell is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Howell seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Seek for as long as he can get away with.
Howell passes Seek's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Howell seems to be working for a kimura but Seek defends the submission attempt.
Howell works his way into full mount!

Seek tries to hold on but Howell pushes him away.
Howell could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Howell has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Seek's face.

Seek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Howell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Seek tries to lock up and control but Howell gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Howell swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
