The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Čern� takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Čern� goes for a double leg but De Vega avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as De Vega continues to drive forward.
The crowd cheers as De Vega lands an impressive looking overhand right. Čern� doesn't seem phased though.
Čern� blocks a jab.
Čern� went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Crunch! De Vega slams his shin into Čern�'s torso.
Čern� avoids the body shot from De Vega.
Čern� gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and De Vega counters with a nice uppercut.

Čern� fires out a quick counter leg kick but De Vega just manages to avoid it.

De Vega leaves Čern� with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Escobar De Vega seems to be getting the better of the standup.
De Vega throws out a leg kick but Čern� moves out of range and De Vega only half commits.

As De Vega backs away, Čern� returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Čern� throws a big counter combination but De Vega scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Escobar De Vega seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

De Vega changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Čern� tries to avoid it but De Vega manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Čern� to the ground. Čern� escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

De Vega closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - De Vega lands in his opponent's guard.

De Vega must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
De Vega working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Čern� doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Čern� manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Escobar De Vega has got the better of the ground game so far.

Well De Vega has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
