Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kelly Heath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kell Nrowbn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Nrowbn as Heath shoots in.
Heath tries to close the distance and clinch but Nrowbn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nrowbn feints and then cracks Heath's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Heath down.
Nrowbn pushes Heath up against the cage in a clinch.
Nrowbn lands an elbow inside.
It looks like Kelly Heath has been cut.
Heath lands a damaging elbow.
Nrowbn drops down looking for an ankle pick but Heath pulls his leg out and moves away.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Heath is trying to trip Nrowbn. He has hold of a leg but Nrowbn is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Heath persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nrowbn kicks Heath off and gets back to his feet.
Heath tries to clinch there but Nrowbn circles away.
Nrowbn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Heath swivels and escapes.
Nrowbn tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Heath manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nrowbn just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromHeath.
Heath tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nrowbn defends well and Heath ends up having to push Nrowbn into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Nrowbn tries for a takedown but Heath sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Heath counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Nrowbn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Heath sprawls well. Heath wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nrowbn gets slowly back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nrowbn closes the distance and clinches up with Heath, looking for a takedown. Nrowbn pushes Heath against the cage but Heath circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Nrowbn manages to capitalize on a mistake by Heath to take his back!
Nrowbn is looking to control Heath but Heath is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Nrowbn is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Heath is defending well though. Nrowbn let's go of the attempt for now.
Nrowbn is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Nrowbn is throwing strikes but Heath counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Heath regains half guard.

Nrowbn is pressing down on Heath's thigh, looking to free his foot. Heath is holding on for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Heath keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Heath shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nrowbn as he avoids it easily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kelly Heath will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Heath throws a strike but Nrowbn rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Heath is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
