Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doomsday Drost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Kovalenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drost comes to the cage accompanied by Kilpi - Sielut Iskee Tulta. Doomsday Drost is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
30 - 14 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Doomsday Drost! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
48 - 23 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nikolai Kovalenko! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Dmitry Maklakov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice uppercut there from Kovalenko.
It looks like Doomsday Drost has been cut. Kovalenko moves into range and connects with a jab. Kovalenko displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. No joy there for Kovalenko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Drost looks to land a combination but Kovalenko avoids it well. Drost has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Kovalenko ducks under a wild hook from Drost. Kovalenko lands with an uppercut that bounces Drost off the cage and back into range.
Doomsday Drost's cut is getting worse. This has been an exciting period of action! Kovalenko fails to land with a series of punches.
Kovalenko misses with a series of wild punches.
Kovalenko pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Drost swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Kovalenko feints and then cracks Drost's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Drost down. Nikolai Kovalenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kovalenko lands a leg kick that knocks Drost off balance momentarily. Nikolai Kovalenko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kovalenko misses with a straight left. An attempted straight right counter from Drost misses the target. Donk. Kovalenko catches Drost right on the button with a cross. Drost has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Kovalenko tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Drost uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kovalenko. Kovalenko throws a head kick that misses and Drost counters with a stiff right hand. Kovalenko works over Drost's head and body with a nice combination. Kovalenko throws a right and a left that Drost avoids nicely. Drost was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Kovalenko misses the shot to the body. Drost throwing a counter right hand but Kovalenko manages to avoid it. A punch lands to the side of Kovalenko 's head but he takes it in his stride. Drost throws a right and a left that both miss. Drost cracks Kovalenko with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Kovalenko tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Drost pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Kovalenko is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Doomsday Drost! Doomsday Drost retains his super heavyweight title! After the fight, Doomsday Drost was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
