Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lavezzi Cavani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Butch Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Lavezzi Cavani! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Butch Jenkins! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cavani misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cavani moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Cavani, right into the meat.
Cavani throws a body kick that misses. Cavani looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Jenkins now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Cavani pivots, looking for a leg kick but Jenkins is out of range and Cavani settles back down. Cavani swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jenkins wants to counter the offense by Cavani and move into the clinch position. Cavani throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Cavani throws a head kick that misses and Jenkins counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Cavani trying to hold on to Jenkins's head to control him but Jenkins postures up.
Jenkins content to control rather than advance. Cavani slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Jenkins controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cavani looking for a sweep. Not yet Cavani, not yet. Jenkins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cavani. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cavani pulls Jenkins in close to his closed guard and prevents Jenkins from doing any damage or advancing position. Cavani is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jenkins avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cavani is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cavani looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Cavani is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Cavani is trying to control. Jenkins wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Cavani tries to pass to full mount but Jenkins defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cavani is looking to take a break and control but Jenkins is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jenkins tries to roll over but Cavani keeps him under control. Cavani is trying to control the action in half guard but Jenkins is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Jenkins trying to control here.
Cavani wants to take a breather but Jenkins is having none of it. We've been informed that Jenkins has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Cavani trying to mount his opponent but Jenkins defends it. Cavani is working hard here to advance position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cavani is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Cavani seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jenkins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Cavani looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Cavani throws a leg kick so Jenkins counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Jenkins showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Let's hope that Jenkins has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jenkins trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jenkins controlling from the top position. That was a close round but I would say that Lavezzi Cavani will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Cavani has hold of Jenkins's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jenkins manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Cavani wants to finish this one by submission but Jenkins is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cavani. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cavani trying to control but he's not successful this time. Cavani working for a guillotine from mount but Jenkins is in no mood to give up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cavani trying to control but Jenkins is having none of it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jenkins can do anything to dispel that myth. Jenkins can't escape the position.
Jenkins wants to hold on but Cavani pushes him away. Cavani working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Cavani jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jenkins manages to avoid the submission attempt. Jenkins is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Cavani looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Cavani is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jenkins is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Jenkins tries to improve position but can't. Cavani working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Cavani wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jenkins, who protects the arm well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cavani wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jenkins keeps working. Lavezzi Cavani overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cavani tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cavani has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Cavani is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jenkins can do to turn this around? Cavani wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jenkins keeps working.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Cavani throws a leg kick and Jenkins decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cavani's guard. Cavani has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jenkins is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cavani. Cavani is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Cavani is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cavani gets back to full guard.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jenkins can't do much from the bottom here. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Butch Jenkins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cavani is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jenkins has escaped the position, nice work there.
