Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reuben Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabio Lanzoni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reuben Cox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fabio Lanzoni! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Columbo Gatti and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lanzoni is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cox. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lanzoni has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Lanzoni throws a hook but Cox avoids it easily. Lanzoni takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Lanzoni paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Cox misses with a jab to the body
and Lanzoni counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Lanzoni moves out of range of the body kick. Cox feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lanzonis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Cox.
Lanzoni blocks a head kick by Cox.
Lanzoni swings widly with a right hand
and Cox counters with an inside leg kick. Cox misses with an attempted mid kick.
Cox goes for a high kick. It partially lands. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lanzoni on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Cox seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Lanzoni on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Cox. Cox obviously looking to wear him down.
Lanzoni throws out a loose jab but Cox uses good head movement to avoid it. Cox misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lanzoni.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lanzoni! But no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cox lands with an overhand left. Lanzoni throws a big shot that misses. Cox throws an overhand right that lands on Lanzoni's shoulder, as Lanzoni tries to avoid the shot. Cox gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Cox avoids the body shot from Lanzoni.
Cox cracks the inside of Lanzoni's front leg. Lanzoni is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cox. Lanzoni throws a big shot that misses. Cox displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lanzoni throws out the jab. A thudding body kick lands there by Cox!
Cox circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Lanzoni drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Cox follows Lanzoni to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Reuben Cox! A relieved looking Reuben Cox thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
