Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michal Materla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felix Menlowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Materla comes to the ring accompanied by Sobota - Do góry łeb. Menlowe has chosen Step Up as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Michal Materla has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michal Materla! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Felix Menlowe! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Menlowe throws a sloppy head kick and Materla moves out of range easily. Materla tries to counter by clinching up but Menlowe breaks away and moves out of range. Materla looking to score a takedown here. Menlowe is defending well but Materla drives through and ends up in Menlowe's guard. Menlowe can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Materla controls the pace. Materla is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Lock and Roll Grappling Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Materla passes easily into side control. Nice work. Materla advances to mount. Materla wants to get back to his feet but Menlowe is holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Materla tries to stand up but Menlowe grabs his leg and drags him down! Menlowe is now on top, in side control. Menlowe trying to control the action but Materla is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Materla regains half guard. Materla tries to roll over but Menlowe keeps him under control. Menlowe looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Materla is looking for a sweep. Menlowe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Materla manages to get to full guard.
Menlowe trying to control but Materla is working from the bottom. Materla utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Menlowe throws an elbow that misses. Materla uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Menlowe's guard. Nice move by Materla! Materla controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Materla looking to sit in guard and control but Menlowe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Materla keeping moving, preventing Menlowe from controlling successfully. Menlowe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Materla swivels though and keeps the full guard. Menlowe wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Materla's closed guard. He's half up but Materla has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Materla pivots and extends the arm, Menlowe falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Materla! Well done that man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Michal Materla! Michal Materla decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
