Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Kirilenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Instrumental Core - The Angels Among Demons. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Kirilenko! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kirilenko closes the distance and clinches up with Silva, looking for a takedown. Kirilenko pushes Silva against the ropes but Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Silva shoots in looking for a takedown but Kirilenko manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Silva's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kirilenko shoots for a takedown but Silva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Silva uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kirilenko. Silva uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kirilenko.
Silva has a takedown stuffed. Silva has been working on his balance at Lock and Roll Grappling Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Kirilenko. Kirilenko goes for a double leg but Silva avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Silva continues to drive forward. Kirilenko has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silva is working away from the top position though. Silva prevents Kirilenko from improving his position.
