Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ted Scheckler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jens Kylling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scheckler comes to the cage accompanied by Immortal Technique -- Point of No Return. Kylling has chosen Agonoize - Bäng Bäng Goodbye as his entrance music. Jens Kylling acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ted Scheckler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jens Kylling! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scheckler misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kylling.
Scheckler has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kylling. Scheckler misses with a straight right. Scheckler's corner calls for a 1-2. Scheckler obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Kylling wants to clinch up but Scheckler keeps it at a distance. Scheckler half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Scheckler throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Kylling misses the jab. Nice body kick there by Kylling. Kylling misses with a looping right. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kylling lands with a thumping leg kick.
Scheckler is looking to land body kicks. Kylling throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Scheckler. Kylling misses with a hook. Scheckler ducked under it nicely. Scheckler is looking to slow Kylling down with leg kicks.

and Kylling counters with a nice kick to the body. Scheckler keeps the fight on the outside. Scheckler half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. We've been informed that Kylling has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Kylling closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kylling with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Scheckler pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Good work by Scheckler as he checks the leg kick. Kylling takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Scheckler scoring well with a low kick there.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kylling throws a low kick but Scheckler avoids it. Kylling connects with an inside leg kick. Scheckler shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kylling manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Kylling ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Scheckler moves away. Kylling pivots, looking for a leg kick but Scheckler is out of range and Kylling settles back down. Jens Kylling is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Scheckler catches Kylling with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Kylling throws a body punch but Scheckler moves out of range. Nice straight punches there by Scheckler. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Scheckler.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Scheckler throws out a loose jab but Kylling uses good head movement to avoid it. A low kick from Kylling misses and Scheckler counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kylling won't be happy with that. Scheckler in the domination position with Kylling hanging on. Scheckler is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Kylling will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Sloppy strikes there by Scheckler. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kylling is looking to regain half guard here but Scheckler keeps moving and retains side control. Scheckler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Scheckler trying to control the action but Kylling is working from the bottom. Kylling is trying to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ted Scheckler dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Scheckler throws a hook but Kylling blocks it. Kylling is trying to counter with his kicks. Scheckler lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Scheckler buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kylling is looking to slow Scheckler down with leg kicks. Scheckler throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Scheckler tests Kylling's chin there with a solid looking shot. Kylling misses with a wild combination.
Scheckler changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kylling checks a leg kick. Ted Scheckler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scheckler misses with an uppercut. Kylling throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Scheckler sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kylling throws a low kick but Scheckler avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scheckler tries for a takedown but Kylling circles away easily and Kylling counters with a low kick, right behind Scheckler 's knee. Kylling lands a really nice looking cross but Scheckler seems unphased.
Ted Scheckler is winning the standup battle so far. Scheckler closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kylling quickly recovers to half guard. Kylling is doing well to control the position and prevent Scheckler from advancing to side control. Kylling wants to control but Scheckler is keeping busy and won't allow it. Scheckler throwing shots but Kylling is blocking nicely. Scheckler is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kylling can do to turn this around? Scheckler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kylling keeps working. Scheckler not landing any meaningful shots this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scheckler passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kylling! Kylling suckers Scheckler into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Kylling is now in Scheckler's guard!

Scheckler can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kylling controls the pace. Ted Scheckler overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kylling is continuing to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scheckler managing to control the position. Scheckler wants to sweep but no luck. Scheckler is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Scheckler is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Scheckler has his hands on Kylling's head, controlling the position. Kylling must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kylling controlling from the top position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Scheckler scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. A jab from Kylling misses. A nice leg kick lands there from Kylling. Scheckler fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. A nice inside leg kick there by Scheckler. That's going to slow Kylling down. Scheckler throws out a powerful jab. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kylling throws a big shot that misses. Kylling has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Scheckler. Crunch! Scheckler slams his shin into Kylling's torso. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ted Scheckler dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Scheckler dives in and grabs Kylling's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kylling pushes down on Scheckler's head and hops out. Scheckler throws a body punch but Kylling moves out of range. Scheckler throws a solid leg kick but Kylling takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Scheckler. Kylling throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Kylling takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Kylling attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Kylling moves out of range of the strikes. Kylling throws a body kick that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scheckler scores with a nice head shot. Kylling loads up on a big right hand but Scheckler slips the punch. Scheckler tries to land a leg kick but Kylling saw it coming and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kylling shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Kylling is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Kylling throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Scheckler attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kylling checks a leg kick. Kylling is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Scheckler swings for the body but Kylling moves out of range.
Kylling throws a chopping leg kick but Scheckler manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Kylling lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Kylling throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Kylling does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Scheckler looks to land a left hand but Kylling moved out of range nicely. Scheckler scores with a hook. Jens Kylling has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ted Scheckler is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scheckler scores with a jab to the jaw. Scheckler moves out of range of the strikes. Scheckler lands an overhand right. A low kick from Kylling is predictable there and Scheckler counters with a shoot takedown. Kylling fights it but they end up in guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Scheckler is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Scheckler stops Kylling from standing up. Scheckler is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kylling controls Scheckler momentarily but Scheckler frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Scheckler sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kylling's guard. Scheckler not doing much here.
Scheckler seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kylling for as long as he can get away with.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kylling takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
And that's the end of the fight! Ted Scheckler showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Scheckler, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
