Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Texas Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Sandow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sandow has chosen WWF Undertaker Ministry Theme as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Texas Pete! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Damien Sandow! The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pete lands with a right hand.
It looks like Damien Sandow has been cut. Pete lands a head shot. Sandow fails to land the takedown. Sandow shoots in looking for a takedown but Pete manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sandow's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Pete thuds his shin into the meat of Sandow's side. Pete lands with a good body shot. Pete scores with a hook to the body. Sandow takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Sandow fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pete avoids it really well and circles away. Texas Pete has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Sandow. Pete scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sandow doesn't seem bothered though. Sandow with a poor takedown and Pete counters by clinching up. Pete cracks Sandow with a nice body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pete lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Sandow. Pete lands with a light punch inside. Pete lands a right hand. A right hook to the body lands for Pete.
A short uppercut from Pete. Pete lands a nice uppercut. Pete lands a left hand.
A short right from Pete on the inside. A shot in the inside from Pete. Sandow jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pete walks away with a smile on his face. Sandow gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pete looks for the body kick but Sandow saw that one coming. We've been told by Pete's head coaches at LOD-Guts & Glory Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pete throws a quick inside leg kick. Sandow shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Pete cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Pete looks to score with a jab to the body but Sandow is just out of range. Sandow shoots for a takedown but Pete saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Sandow shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Sandow shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pete as he avoids it easily. Good leg kick by Pete there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Pete tests Sandow's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Sandow is rocked! Sandow doesn't succeed with the takedown and Pete counters with a nice kick to the body. Sandow looks winded! Pete throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Pete fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sandow looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pete drops Sandow with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sandow looks back up at him and smiles so Pete waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Sandow is still on wobbly legs! Can Pete finish him?
That has opened up Damien Sandow's cut even more. Sandow has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Sandow walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Pete swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Texas Pete! Texas Pete retains his light heavyweight title! Texas Pete decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well. Damien Sandow spoke after the fight, saying 'Good win to my opponent am sorry to my fans I will train harder and come back stronger '.
