PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyle Stinkletits (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jax Teller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lyle Stinkletits!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jax Teller!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Damien Edna and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teller bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Stinkletits's head.
Teller throws a one two combo.
Teller rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stinkletits moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Stinkletits slips a jab and a cross from Teller.
Teller scores with a nice strike.
Stinkletits shoots in looking for a takedown. Teller tries to sprawl out of it but Stinkletits keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Teller manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Teller looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Teller listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Teller moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Stinkletits takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.


It looks like Lyle Stinkletits has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stinkletits on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
The crowd cheers as Teller lands an impressive looking overhand right. Stinkletits doesn't seem phased though.
Stinkletits avoids the head kick by Teller.
Stinkletits shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Teller counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Teller throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Stinkletits stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Teller fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Stinkletits on the side of the head.
Teller misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stinkletits is looking to counter the offense by Teller and move into the clinch.
Teller fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Teller swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Stinkletits shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Teller swats away the attempt to clinch by Stinkletits.
Stinkletits looks to land a body kick but Teller moved away.
Stinkletits with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Teller to score with a decent uppercut.
Teller connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Sloppy strikes from Stinkletits. Those never looked like landing.
Teller throws out a counter right but Stinkletits avoids it with no problem.
Jax Teller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Teller gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Teller wants to break the clinch but can't.
Stinkletits swings wildly with an uppercut but Teller uses good head movement to avoid it.
Teller is looking to break free of the clinch but Stinkletits has double underhooks.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Teller pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Stinkletits wants to clinch up but Teller keeps it at a distance.
Stinkletits fails with an attempt to clinch.
Teller connects with a single shot there.
Teller lands a nice shot to the body.
Stinkletits looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Teller throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A counter left hand to the body from Stinkletits misses its target.
We've been informed that Teller has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Stinkletits dives in and grabs Teller's left leg, looking for a takedown. Teller pushes down on Stinkletits's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lyle Stinkletits. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Teller shoots in and gets a takedown into Stinkletits's guard.
Teller wants to stand but Stinkletits is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Teller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stinkletits swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Teller has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Stinkletits to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Teller is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Stinkletits pulls down on the head and he's put Teller to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Lyle Stinkletits!
