Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Seto Takiama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Seto Takiama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Long! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Ron Honeybunn and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Long misses with a takedown and Takiama counters with a takedown into side control. Takiama wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Long, who protects the arm well. Long is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Long keeping hold of Takiama's head, controlling as best he can. Long is trying to stand up here but Takiama is controlling him well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Long keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Takiama wants to work for an arm triangle but Long is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Long wants to control but Takiama is keeping busy.
Long moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Long looking to hit a scissor sweep but Takiama is one step ahead there. Long looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Takiama stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Long swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Long working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Takiama doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Takiama manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Long is looking for a triangle but Takiama pushes his legs off easily.
Takiama is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Long is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Long has escaped and now he's on top!
Takiama is breathing heavily. Long looking to sit in guard and control but Takiama gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Long trying to keep a closed guard but Takiama is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Long looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Long looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've been informed that Long has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Long is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Takiama has his hands clasped together but Long extends and breaks Takiama's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Long.
