Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dustin Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bors Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davidson comes to the cage accompanied by August Burns Red - Meridian. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dustin Davidson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bors Hill!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davidson moves out of range as Hill strikes.
Hill lands a nice looking body shot.
Davidson staying out of range there.
Davidson is looking to clinch.
Hill throws a shot from downtown. Davidson moves away and avoids it.
Hill just misses with a punch to the body.
Hill displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Davidson throws out the jab.
Hill ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Davidson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The fight stays on the outside here - Davidson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davidson throws a low kick but Hill moves out of range easily.
Hill throws a leg kick which misses Davidson's front leg but catches the back leg as Davidson tries to avoid it.

Davidson went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Hill gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

With the fighters up against the cage, Hill throws an elbow but misses.
Davidson tries to circle away but Hill has him pinned against the cage.

Hill escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Davidson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hill fails with a takedown attempt.
Hill avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Davidson tries to clinch but Hill moves out of range.
Hill throws a low kick but Davidson avoids it.

Hill takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Davidson slips under a jab from Hill.
Davidson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Davidson misses the jab.
Davidson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hill manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hill fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Davidson manages to avoid it.
Hill slips a straight right by Davidson.
Davidson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hill circles away quickly and effectively.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Good leg kick by Hill there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hill avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Davidson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Hill takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Davidson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hill throws out a counter right but Davidson avoids it with no problem.
Davidson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Bors Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Davidson tries to clinch but Hill is having none of it.
Hill has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Davidson throws a combination. Hill tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Hill misses with a wild body shot.
Hill throws a big shot that misses.
Davidson throws a poor cross that misses
and Hill counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Hill takes one to the side of the head.
Hill throws the kick towards the body but Davidson avoids it.
Hill tries to close the distance and clinch up but Davidson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hill takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Hill takes one on the button.
Davidson just misses with a punch to the body.
A combination from Davidson does no damage.

Hill throws a leg kick but Davidson sees it coming and moves out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hill cracks the inside of Davidson's front leg.
Hill scores with a decent looking hook.
Davidson moves forwards but Hill connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Hill misses with a wild body shot.
Hill throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Davidson throwing a counter right hand but Hill manages to avoid it.
Hill missing with a left hand there. Davidson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
It looked like Davidson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Davidson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Davidson's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Hill misses with a hook from the clinch.
Hill is pressed up against the cage. Davidson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hill down to the mat. Hill avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Davidson darts in and clinches Hill up against the cage.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bors Hill dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Hill throws the left hand but Davidson avoids the punch easily.
Davidson seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Hill lands with a right hand.
Davidson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Hill shoots in for a takedown but Davidson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Davidson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Hill gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Davidson fails to land with a series of punches.
Davidson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hill lands the left hand.
Hill lands with an uppercut that bounces Davidson off the cage and back into range.
Hill scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Oh Davidson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hill drives through and clinches with Davidson against the cage.
Davidson throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Hill's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Hill continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.

Hill escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hill dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Davidson. That did some damage!
Bors Hill seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Hill scores with a counter punch that sends Davidson to the canvas! Hill smells blood - he's punishing Davidson with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Davidson has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bors Hill!
Our winner, Bors Hill, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
