The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley rushes Doom and presses him up against the cage.
Riley lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Doom or not.

Doom loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Doom's corner calls for a 1-2. Doom obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Doom looks to clinch
and Riley decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Doom's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Doom manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Doom breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Riley has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Riley has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Riley there as he acknowledges the shot.

Doom throws a right and a left that Riley avoids nicely.

Chopper Doom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Riley moves out of range of the strikes.

Doom's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Riley connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Doom scrambles back to his feet.

and Riley counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Doom!
Riley is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Doom's shoulder. That is not cool.

Doom is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Riley is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Riley has escaped and now he's on top!
