Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ariel Piechocki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jase Newson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piechocki comes into the arena with Thunder blaring out of the sound system. Jase Newson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newson throws a hook but Piechocki blocks it.
Piechocki is looking for a counter combo.
Newson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Piechockis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
It looks like Ariel Piechocki has been cut.
Newson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Piechocki throws a quick counter head kick but Newson was just out of range.
Newson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Newson misses with a jab to the body
and Piechocki counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Newson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Piechocki's calf.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Piechocki walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
