Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vance Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isaiah Elliott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vance Taylor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Isaiah Elliott! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor moves out of range as Elliott throws a body kick.
Elliott throws a wild body kick that Taylor sees coming a mile off. Taylor swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Elliott fails to land the takedown. Elliott misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Taylor pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Elliott goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Elliott misses with a two punch combination.
Taylor feinted there with a counter leg kick. Taylor shoots in and bounces Elliott off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Elliott looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Taylor throws a big elbow that misses. Elliott tries to strike from the bottom.
Taylor seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Taylor working some strikes from top position. Taylor working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Elliott's head. Taylor lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Taylor controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Taylor's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Taylor working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Elliott is looking for a triangle here but Taylor uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Elliott is looking to regain half guard here but Taylor keeps moving and retains side control. Taylor trying to control the action but Elliott is working from the bottom. Taylor cracks Elliott with a big elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Elliott is trying to improve his position. Taylor working away. Taylor moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. The ground and pound from Taylor seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Elliott struggling a bit here.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Isaiah Elliott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Elliott gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Taylor fails to pull guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Taylor wants to take the fight to the mat but Elliott manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Elliott breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Elliott shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Taylor looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Elliott shoots in looking for a takedown but Taylor manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Elliott's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Elliott drives through and clinches with Taylor against the cage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Elliott gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Taylor.
Elliott turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Isaiah Elliott will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Taylor shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Elliott but Elliott pushes him off and we're back to square one. Elliott shoots in looking for a takedown. Taylor tries to sprawl out of it but Elliott keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Taylor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Taylor lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Taylor manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Elliott on his heels. He'll look to pass Elliott's guard now, I'm sure. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Elliott working for submissions but it's allowed Taylor to get to half guard.
Elliott wants to get back to full guard. Taylor has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor winds up and cracks Elliott with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Taylor thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Elliott's head. Taylor not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Taylor throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Taylor perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Taylor is nestled in close to Elliott, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Elliott is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Taylor pulls his head out easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Elliott is looking to control Taylor's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Elliott avoid being mounted? If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Taylor in particular looking to stall.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Taylor tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Elliott swivels and escapes. Elliott tries to counter by closing the distance. Taylor shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Elliott wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Elliott's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Elliott is breathing heavily. Elliott looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Taylor puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Taylor working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vance Taylor dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Taylor fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Elliott avoids it really well and circles away. Elliott lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Elliott tries to land a body kick and Taylor counters with a three punch combo that has Elliott backing up. Elliott nods at Taylor to acknowledge the strikes. Elliott throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Taylor appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Elliott clinches up against the cage. Elliott escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taylor gets caught napping as Elliott dives in and scores a takedown. Taylor manages to retain guard. Taylor seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Taylor pulls Elliott in close to prevent any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Elliott moves into the clinch successfully.
Elliott tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Taylor just stands there and leans against the cage. Elliott tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Taylor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A jab from Elliott misses. Taylor thinks about countering with a head kick. Elliott gets a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Elliott on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Taylor landing strikes. Elliott manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Elliott takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Taylor is pressing down on Elliott's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Elliott looking to sit in guard and control but Taylor gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Taylor keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Elliott's head. Taylor engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Taylor distracts Elliott with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Elliott is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Taylor throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Elliott works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Elliott isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Taylor stacks Elliott on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Taylor! Taylor scoring with punches and elbows. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Taylor working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Vance Taylor. I think Taylor has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
