Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Esteban Fitzgerald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Bard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Esteban Fitzgerald! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tom Bard! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bard scores with a takedown into Fitzgerald's guard. Bard lands a couple of elbows. Bard is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Fitzgerald is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bard defends well. Fitzgerald looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bard content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Fitzgerald keeping moving, preventing Bard from controlling successfully. Fitzgerald trying to control the position.
Fitzgerald has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Fitzgerald has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bard is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Bard postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bard working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Bard wants to control from the top but Fitzgerald keeps moving. Bard wants to stand but Fitzgerald is controlling his posture from full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bard keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fitzgerald's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fitzgerald trying to control the position.
Fitzgerald will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Bard postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Fitzgerald really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Bard postures up and lands a big shot to Fitzgerald's brow.
Fitzgerald is rocked! Bard looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Oh Fitzgerald is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Fitzgerald looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bard is one step ahead there. Bard gets to his feet and stands over Fitzgerald, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Fitzgerald felt that one! Bard unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Fitzgerald from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tom Bard!
