Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Sergio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Principe Mutumbo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sergio might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to sandstrom. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paulo Sergio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Principe Mutumbo! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sergio shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Sergio goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Mutumbo turns into him and now he's in Sergio's guard.
Mutumbo controlling from the top position. Sergio keeping moving, preventing Mutumbo from controlling successfully. Sergio throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Sergio working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Mutumbo has passed into half guard!
Mutumbo working over Sergio with some ground and pound. Sergio looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Mutumbo is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Sergio is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's one minute gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Mutumbo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Mutumbo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Sergio tries to reverse the position but Mutumbo maintains control. Mutumbo controlling from mount. Let's hope that Mutumbo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Mutumbo breaks from Sergio's wrist control and lands an elbow. Sergio is trying desperately to improve position. Mutumbo landing strikes from the mount. Sergio is breathing heavily. Mutumbo is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sergio can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mutumbo lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Sergio is rocked! Mutumbo looking to control and managing it successfully. Sergio is in a horrible position here. Mutumbo smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Oh Sergio is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Mutumbo working away from the top, dropping strikes. Sergio really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Sergio seems to have got his legs back now. Mutumbo is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Sergio is surviving well by controlling Mutumbo's body position as best he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sergio is desperately trying to improve his position but Mutumbo has a good base and remains in mount. Sergio wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Sergio is really stuck here.
Mutumbo trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Sergio doesn't escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mutumbo tightening his grip on Sergio, looking for the choke. Mutumbo is trying to stick to Sergio's back but Sergio is turning into Mutumbo. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Mutumbo's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Sergio. Sergio pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mutumbo is keeping the position for now. Sergio drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mutumbo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mutumbo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mutumbo! Sergio tries to buck Mutumbo off but Mutumbo is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mutumbo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Mutumbo stands up and beckons Sergio to his feet. Sergio clinches. Sergio has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mutumbo avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Mutumbo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mutumbo with a lazy takedown attempt and Sergio counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Mutumbo controlling the position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mutumbo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sergio gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Principe Mutumbo dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Sergio closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Sergio is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mutumbo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Mutumbo is looking for a sweep. You can see the frustration on Mutumbo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Sergio swings around for an armbar but Mutumbo sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Sergio's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mutumbo with a nice head shot there. Mutumbo wants to control from the top but Sergio keeps moving. Mutumbo controls from within his opponent's guard. Sergio wants to sweep here but Mutumbo controlling him for the moment. Mutumbo slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Sergio is trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mutumbo taking a breather here. Mutumbo cracks Sergio with a big elbow. Mutumbo trying to control the position but Sergio is working away.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Mutumbo fails to land the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sergio forces Mutumbo back against the cage and clinches. Mutumbo wants to get back to striking at distance but Sergio won't allow it.
Sergio is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mutumbo can't fight it off and eventually Sergio manages to take the fight to the floor. Mutumbo looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Sergio won't allow Mutumbo to sweep him here. Sergio pushing down on Mutumbo's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Sergio is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sergio wants to work for an arm triangle but Mutumbo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mutumbo tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paulo Sergio dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
The fight moves into the clinch position. Sergio has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mutumbo regains guard immediately. Mutumbo has Sergio pulled in close to control his posture. Sergio drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mutumbo dives on top into guard. Mutumbo showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sergio manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mutumbo manages to get himself to full guard.

Sergio drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mutumbo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sergio has Mutumbo in his guard. Sergio looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Sergio wants to hit a switch here but Mutumbo passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Sergio there! Sergio is trying desperately to improve position. Mutumbo controlling the position easily from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mutumbo has hold of Sergio's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sergio manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Paulo Sergio. I think Sergio has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
