Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vernon Reeves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Bourne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Bourne will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vernon Reeves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jason Bourne!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bourne moves into the clinch.
Bourne scores with a shot to the side of Reeves's head.
Bourne tries to stall but Reeves uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Reeves throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Reeves slows down the pace here.
Reeves prevents the takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bourne is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Reeves to keep the fight standing.
Bourne misses with a knee strike.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bourne dodges an elbow strike from Reeves.

Bourne drags the fight down to the ground.

Reeves decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bourne, up you get!

Reeves shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Reeves is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Reeves is trying to work for a kimura but Bourne is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Reeves lands strikes from half guard.
Bourne is looking for a sweep. Reeves is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Reeves wants to stand but Bourne has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Reeves will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bourne looks like he's trying to stand up.
Nice strikes from Reeves there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bourne is not content to let Reeves control the position.

Reeves looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Reeves is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bourne is trying to maintain the position but Reeves is very close to passing his half guard.

Reeves seems to be working for a kimura but Bourne defends the submission attempt.
Bourne really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reeves. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Reeves is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Bourne still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Bourne has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
You can see the frustration on Reeves's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vernon Reeves dominated that round.
That's time! Reeves's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Bourne throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reeves's waist but Reeves gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bourne off to one side.
Bourne stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bourne wants it to stay on the feet.
Jason Bourne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reeves misses with a takedown attempt - Bourne sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Reeves slips a jab and a cross from Bourne.
Bourne scores with the left hand. Reeves knows he should have avoided that one.

Bourne moves into range and clinches up with Reeves.
Reeves blocks a body shot from Bourne.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bourne decides to pull guard.
Bourne is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Reeves trying to control but Bourne is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Reeves working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Bourne is looking to stand back up but Reeves counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Bourne.
Reeves prevents Bourne from improving his position.
Bourne trying to hold on to Reeves's head to control him but Reeves postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Reeves is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Bourne is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
