Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yoshimitzu Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maki Pulu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakuraba comes to the cage accompanied by Pride theme song blares through the speaker as fireworks erupt . Pulu comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Alive kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Sakuraba gets cracked there but stands up to it.
It looks like Yoshimitzu Sakuraba has been cut.
Pulu throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sakuraba counters with a single leg into guard. Pulu didn't expect that.
Pulu avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Sakuraba missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Pulu has his foot on Sakuraba's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sakuraba works his way back into a safe position though.
Pulu is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sakuraba is aware though and is defending well.
Pulu is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Sakuraba has his hands clasped together but Pulu extends and breaks Sakuraba's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Pulu.
