Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cooper Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nathan Mason has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Nathan Mason!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Cooper Gray!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gray.

Mason pushes Gray up against the cage in a clinch.
Mason misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Gray turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Gray manages to end up in side control.
Mason is trying to improve his position.
Gray controlling the position.

Gray tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gray is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mason is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mason flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mason is staying active underneath Gray, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Mason has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gray can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mason lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

A looping hook to the body misses from Gray. Mason does a little dance to reset his feet.

Mason bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gray's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gray slips a jab and a cross from Mason.

Gray closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mason to the mat! Mason manages to get full guard.

Mason bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gray's guard.

Cooper Gray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gray is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Gray circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gray is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mason appears to be looking for a big counter.

A close second round but Cooper Gray will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Mason's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Gray feints and as Mason raises his hands in defense, Gray changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Gray shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
It looks like Gray is going to stand back up.

Mason is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gray's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gray's back!

Mason is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Gray is defending well though. Mason let's go of the attempt for now.
