Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ron Schneider!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jey Morrison!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morrison dives in and scores a takedown into Schneider's guard.

Morrison stands and steps away. Schneider gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Morrison closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Morrison lands in his opponent's guard.
Schneider striking off his back but it's not causing Morrison any problems.
Schneider trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Morrison seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Schneider wants to improve his position but instead Morrison has moved into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Morrison is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Schneider has managed to free his arm - good work.
Morrison stalling.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Morrison has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Schneider could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Morrison throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morrison takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Morrison with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Schneider is looking to improve his position but Morrison isn't that keen on the idea.
Schneider tries to strike from the bottom but he's left himself exposed and Morrison has taken his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Morrison trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Schneider doesn't escape.

Morrison controlling well, preventing Schneider from escaping the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morrison keeps control of the position as Schneider tries to break free.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Schneider is working hard here to advance position.

Morrison is working hard for the rear naked choke here.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jey Morrison dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Schneider gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Morrison stands and steps away. Schneider gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Morrison shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Schneider napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Morrison advances to full mount.
Schneider is working to get back to half guard.
Poor strikes thrown by Morrison there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
BOOM! Morrison connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Morrison is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Schneider to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Schneider shrugs it off.
Schneider tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Schneider might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Morrison controlling from mount.
Let's hope that Morrison has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Morrison throwing strikes here but Schneider is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Morrison looking for a guillotine from mount but Schneider is having none of it.
Jey Morrison has got the better of the ground game so far.
Morrison connects with a bit shot that sees Schneider covering up! More strikes from Morrison and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Morrison is our winner by TKO!
