Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darell Cantu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Pope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Pope has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Darell Cantu's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Darell Cantu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, The Pope! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cantu moves into the clinch successfully.
Cantu wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Cantu really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pope drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cantu gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Pope keeps control of Cantu as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Cantu tries to stall but Pope uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Pope being controlled against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cantu's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Cantu gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pope can't get the takedown.
Cantu breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cantu throws a series of punches but Pope moves out of range. And Pope tries to counter it with a takedown but Cantu pushes his down on his head and steps out. Pope gets caught napping as Cantu dives in and scores a takedown. Pope manages to retain guard. Cantu is looking to work some ground and pound but Pope has wrist control. Pope is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Cantu being controlled here momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cantu trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Pope controlling the position. Cantu missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Pope is controlling Cantu's posture.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Cantu drives through and clinches with Pope against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cantu drags the fight down to the ground.
Cantu wants to sweep but no luck. Cantu can't keep his opponent in guard - Pope advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Cantu is looking to improve his position.
Well, if Pope is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Let's hope that Pope has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cantu makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cantu. Pope's corner is telling him to maintain position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cantu has an active guard here but Pope has managed to pass into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cantu tries to roll over but Pope keeps him under control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darell Cantu dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Cantu misses with a low kick as Pope jumps back. Cantu has closed the distance and engaged Pope in a clinch.
Cantu prevents the takedown attempt.
Cantu escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cantu looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Pope drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Cantu defends it well. Cantu shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Cantu was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cantu trying to control the action but Pope is working from the bottom. Pope holding on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cantu tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cantu has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Cantu lands a decent elbow from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Cantu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pope keeps working. Pope gets back to half guard. Pope gets back to full guard.
Cantu trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Pope is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cantu wants to improve his position but Pope is controlling well.
Pope content to control rather than advance. Cantu is trying to get back to full guard. Cantu with the active half guard here but Pope passes nicely into side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Cantu is trying to improve his position. Cantu seems a little lost for a moment, as Pope dominates the positioning. Cantu is looking for a sweep. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cantu is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Pope is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Cantu is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pope can do to turn this around? Pope controlling the position easily from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darell Cantu dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Cantu rushes Pope and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Pope wants a takedown.
Cantu gets underhooks to prevent Pope's takedown attempt.
Cantu pulls Pope into guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cantu is looking to get back to full guard here but Pope has managed to pass to side control instead. Cantu tries to buck Pope off but Pope is having none of it. Pope advances nicely into full mount. Cantu is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pope tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cantu is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Cantu tries to get back to half guard but can't. Pope controlling the pace for now. Cantu tries to reverse the position but Pope maintains control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Pope controlling the pace for now.
And that's the end of the fight! The Pope comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Cantu has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
