Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Mackintosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominic Cerrone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dominic Cerrone!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mackintosh blocks a jab.
Cerrone connects with a body shot that sends Mackintosh's belly button to the back.
We've been hearing reports that Mackintosh has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Cerrone looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Cerrone lands a nice shot to the body.
No luck for Mackintosh with that takedown attempt.
Cerrone steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Mackintosh.
Mackintosh tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cerrone swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A little jabbing left from Cerrone on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Cerrone enables Mackintosh to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cerrone manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Cerrone wants to stand but Mackintosh is controlling the position.
Mackintosh pushes down on Cerrone's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Cerrone looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Cerrone wants to get back to his feet.

Cerrone is defending against the submission attempts here by Mackintosh.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Mackintosh prevents Cerrone from standing back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Mackintosh displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cerrone throws out the jab.
Mackintosh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cerrone.
Mackintosh is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Mackintosh lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Cerrone throws a body shot but no joy.

and Cerrone counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Mackintosh shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mackintosh showed some decent athleticism there.
Cerrone is trying to stand up here but Mackintosh is controlling him well.

Mackintosh is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cerrone sees it coming and defends easily.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Mackintosh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cerrone keeps working.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Mackintosh is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Cerrone is defending against the submission attempts here by Mackintosh.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paul Mackintosh dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Mackintosh pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mackintosh.
It seemed like Cerrone was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Cerrone lands a left and a right that send Mackintosh crashing to the mat, dazed. Cerrone thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Mackintosh is rocked!
Cerrone knocks out Mackintosh with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Cerrone before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Cerrone picks up the big W with a huge KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dominic Cerrone!
