Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pascual Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zazyinho Montana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perez's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Another One Bites The Dust. Pascual Perez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Pascual Perez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zazyinho Montana!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montana looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Perez is fending him off so far but Montana persists. Nope, Perez circles away and we're back to standing.

Montana has closed the distance and engaged Perez in a clinch.
Montana is working for takedown but Perez is calmly controlling the position for now.
Montana is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Pascual Perez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zazyinho Montana.
Perez tries for a takedown but Montana manages to get underhooks.

Perez lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Perez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Montana looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Montana looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Montana!

Perez manages to work his way to half guard, despite Montana's best efforts.
Perez is staying active underneath Montana, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Montana is trying to control. Perez wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Perez is trying to stand.

Perez kicks off Montana and gets to his feet.
Montana throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Perez takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Montana goes for a double leg but Perez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Perez continues to drive forward.

Montana gets tackled into the cage by Perez. Perez maintains the clinch.
Montana is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Montana lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Montana jumps into guard, dragging Perez to the mat.
Perez looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Montana utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Perez pushes down on Montana's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Perez wants to pass to mount but Montana is defending the position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Perez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Montana defends it well.

Perez is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Montana holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Perez is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Montana is staying active underneath Perez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Montana is controlling Perez's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Perez seems to be working for a kimura but Montana defends the submission attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Perez throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Montana to regain full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Pascual Perez will probably get the nod.

Perez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Montana was covering up waiting for the punch and Perez finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Perez is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Montana doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Perez.

Perez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Montana sees it coming and defends easily.
Perez works his foot free and advances to mount.
Perez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Montana can do to turn this around?
Perez sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Perez postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Montana looks a forlorn figure.

Perez working for a submission but Montana is keeping him at bay.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Perez lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Montana is trying to escape the mount.

Perez goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Montana is on top in guard.

Perez pushes Montana off and gets back to his feet.

Montana shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Perez pinned against the cage. Perez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Perez slaps away a takedown attempt from Montana, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Perez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Montana napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Perez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Perez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Perez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Montana keeps working.

Montana sneaks out the side door and pushes Perez away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Montana dives in and grabs Perez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Perez pushes down on Montana's head and hops out.
Pascual Perez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zazyinho Montana.
Montana avoids the body shot from Perez.
Pascual Perez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Perez tries to close the distance and clinch but Montana swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Montana shoots for a double leg takedown but Perez sprawls well. He's pushed Montana's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Montana has Perez pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Perez manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Montana can't get the takedown.
Montana tries to circle away but Perez has him pinned against the cage.
Perez tries to break free but Montana pushes him back against the cage.

Perez jumps guard and drags Montana to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Perez wants to stand up but Montana is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pascual Perez dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Montana tries to clinch up but Perez circles away and keeps his distance.

Montana throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Perez tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Montana is in Perez's guard.
Montana must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Montana working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Perez manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Perez shoots in looking for a takedown but Montana manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Perez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Perez is working to tighten his grip on Montana's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Montana has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Perez is really squeezing tight and eventually Montana passes out! Perez breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Pascual Perez!
Pascual Perez decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
