The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takanobu shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Carroll manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Takanobu is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Carroll is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Carroll has escaped and now he's on top!

Takanobu fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Carroll to the ground. Takanobu is now in Carroll's guard.
Carroll might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Takanobu is taking a breather. Carroll says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Carroll is looking for a sweep. Takanobu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Takanobu tries to free his leg and advance position but Carroll is retaining full guard.

Carroll is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Takanobu lets go of the hold and Carroll can pop his arm back in it's socket.
