Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ike Acevedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zailer Bronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zailer Bronson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ike Acevedo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zailer Bronson! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Acevedo shoots in and gets a takedown into Bronson's guard. Acevedo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bronson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bronson has escaped and now he's on top!
Bronson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bronson scores with a decent looking elbow strike. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bronson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Acevedo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bronson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bronson landing some decent shots from guard. Acevedo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bronson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Acevedo is looking to stand up but Bronson isn't so interested in that idea. Bronson's corner is telling him to maintain position. Bronson gets to his feet - Acevedo follows without any prompting. Acevedo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Acevedo avoids the head kick by Bronson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bronson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Acevedo, pushing him back against the cage. Acevedo misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Bronson manages to pull guard.
Acevedo preventing the sweep. Bronson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Acevedo's guard.
Bronson gets to his feet. Acevedo looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Acevedo blocks a head kick by Bronson.

and Bronson counters with a nice body shot. Bronson shoots in for a takedown but Acevedo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Acevedo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bronson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bronson throws a nice outside leg kick. Bronson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Acevedo was covering up waiting for the punch and Bronson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bronson controlling from the top position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Acevedo throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bronson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Bronson wants to pass the guard but Acevedo is keeping the position. Bronson gets to his feet. Acevedo looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Bronson throws a head kick but Acevedo moves out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Acevedo misses with the combination.
Acevedo throws a series of punches but Bronson moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zailer Bronson dominated that round. That's time! Acevedo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Acevedo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bronson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Acevedo slaps away a takedown attempt from Bronson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Acevedo shoots for a takedown but Bronson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Acevedo waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bronson. Zailer Bronson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Acevedo fails to land the takedown. Bronson closes the distance and clinches. Bronson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bronson manages to break the clinch.
Bronson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Bronson passes into half guard.

Acevedo is trying to escape back to his feet but Bronson uses the scramble to pass into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bronson happy to just control the position for now. Acevedo misses with an elbow from the bottom. Bronson stands up and we're back to a striking position. Acevedo could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Bronson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Acevedo as he avoids it easily. Bronson moves into range and clinches up with Acevedo. Bronson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Bronson postures up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Acevedo throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bronson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Bronson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Acevedo, up you get!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Acevedo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bronson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ike Acevedo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Acevedo moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
It looks like Ike Acevedo has been cut. Bronson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Acevedo counters with a straight right hand. Bronson lands with a slapping head kick. Bronson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Acevedo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bronson.
Acevedo throws a wild combination but nothing lands. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bronson lands a right hook to the body.
Acevedo keeps the fight on the outside. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zailer Bronson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Ike Acevedo's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Bronson is looking to clinch. Acevedo closes the distance and clinches up with Bronson, looking for a takedown. Acevedo pushes Bronson against the cage but Bronson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bronson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Acevedo sprawls well initially but Bronson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Bronson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Acevedo! Bronson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Bronson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Acevedo is surviving well by controlling Bronson's body position as best he can. Zailer Bronson has got the better of the ground game so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Acevedo tries to hold on but Bronson postures up. Bronson landing strikes from the mount. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bronson is working for a guillotine from mount but Acevedo frees his head quite easily.
Acevedo is trying to stand but he's just given Bronson his back. Acevedo defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Bronson's arms. Bronson lands shots from the back.
Acevedo is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bronson has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Acevedo is defending well but eventually Bronson manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Acevedo has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
